On April 29th, 2011 the BEAM Program was officially launched throughout North Eastern Ontario. A lot of interest has already been generated for the program thanks to the on-going media attention and word of mouth. Over 60applications have already been submitted to the program, some of which have been approved.

In today’s digital marketplace to stay competitive, businesses must be using the Internet to their advantage. To fully leverage the economic benefit of broadband access, Small and Medium Enterprises must not only use broadband; they must transform their business. The BEAM program helps alleviate some of the costs associated with establishing your business online or implementing and upgrading E-business applications.

A rebate of 75% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of $2,000 will be provided to those who meet program requirements. In conjunction with the program, applicants must participate in E-Business workshops and training opportunities to ensure they are adequately equipped to utilize the E-business applications. For more information about the program or to review the E-business workshop schedule please contact Amber Hamilton at ahamilton@neonet.on.ca or 705.360.1353 x4.

See the BEAM Project page for application details.
