Safer Internet Day (SID) is organised by Insafe in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world.

This year’s celebration took place on Tuesday, 9 February 2016. With a theme of ‘Play your part for a better internet!‘, the day was celebrated across the globe, with people coming together through thousands of events and activities to play their part in creating a safer and better internet. Every February on Safer Internet Day, people around the world join forces to teach children and youth about using online technology in a safe and responsible way.
