Prosperity and Growth Strategy for Northern Ontario

On July 19th 2017, Paul Ouimette and Board Member Gerry Talbot, participated in a Roundtable discussion with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED)/FedNor representatives, and other interested community representatives. An opportunity to have your say exists where you can share and provide your input is asked within an email from The Development of the Prosperity and Growth:

“Earlier this spring, the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, announced the development of the Prosperity and Growth Strategy for Northern Ontario, an economic roadmap that will inform the Government of Canada about its investments and activities in the region. To ensure the needs and priorities of Northern Ontarians are fully considered, FedNor is currently leading engagement efforts with a broad range of stakeholders representing the region’s many social, economic and business interests.

These efforts are focused on the priorities central to the Government of Canada’s Innovation and Skills Plan, including: regional innovation ecosystems; investment in and scale-up of firms; clean growth; and community economic development and diversification.”

I would like to invite you, your staff and member organizations to participate in the development of the Prosperity and Growth Strategy for Northern Ontario by providing your feedback in the online questionnaire.

The short questionnaire should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. The deadline to provide your input is September 15th, 2017.

Your participation is important to us and will help ensure the final Prosperity and Growth Strategy is best positioned to deliver results for the people, communities and businesses of Northern Ontario”

Extended until Monday, October 30th, 2017
