Small Business Week 2017

Small Business Week 2017 is approaching quickly! Many events, presentations and workshops are planned across our area. NEOnet will be hosting Monday, October 16th a morning event to kick off Small Business Week 2017 in Timmins. While keeping in-tune with the overall topic/theme we are going to introduce some new technology to the mix as well: utilizing our knowledge of ICT to broadcast to campuses and selected partners across the region.

Recent previous Small Business Week topics and presentations include:

2016 – Social Media Metrics in the form of a panel

2015 – Make Technology Your Competitive Advantage

2014 – Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement in any Organization

What do you think 2017 will bring? With all the new and evolving technology and the evolving workforce. Be sure to register for the event to see if we have piqued your interest.

This year’s 2017 presentation is: Technology: Changing the Nature of Work with 2 presenters touching base on the topics. Creig Lamb, Policy Advisor for the Brookfield Institute for Innovation (out of Ryerson University) via Webinar on #Tech trends reshaping Canada’s workforce?

And Christine Bedard, Owner of Bedard Bookkeeping and Registered STAMP Consultant with NEOnet on Tips for choosing the Right Technology for Your Business.

We are also hitting the road for Small Business Week! There will be a Lunch’n Learn Event in Iroquois Falls Ontario, on Tuesday October 17th 2017, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. The topic of the event will be BEAM, STAMP and a brief introduction into what is Cybersecurity.

On Wednesday October 18th 2017, we will be in Kirkland Lake speaking with SMEs and community participants about the BEAM and STAMP programs and also the difference between a Personal and Business Facebook Page.

NEOnet will also be speaking regarding our programs at the Funders Forum with Enterprise Timiskaming on Wednesday October 25th 2017.

To stay up to date with presentations dates, and communities we will be in visit and bookmark our Event Calendar!
