The Broadband Initiative began with 5 tenders to select a vendor that will work in partnership with NEOnet to improve broadband service for the un-served and underserved in the region.
The review committee was interested in solutions that would allow a minimum download speed of 10Mbps at the end of the project, also aimed at improving the basic infrastructure (ie Fiber backhaul where it is sustainable) with a speed of 25Mbps by 2020.
