Bilingual Regional Outreach Coordinator
The Bilingual Regional Outreach Coordinator (BROC) will develop, plan and manage NEOnet marketing and ICT awareness initiatives. As part of its role, the BROC will communicate with community partners, the media, and stakeholders by writing media releases, newsletters, stakeholder updates, and attending networking events in both official languages. Furthermore, the coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring NEOnet's web presence, developing project and program evaluation plans, setting targets for success, and following up with clients. At the discretion of the Director of Operations, the BROC will seek to work with both public and private sector organizations in promoting education and awareness, developing offerings, and building community capacity.
Marketing and Communications
Update and implement NEOnet’s communication plan
Maintain, monitor and actively engage NEOnet’s online presence
Prepare communications to stakeholders (newsletters, board meetings, quarterly reports and annual reports)
Collaborate in the design of marketing materials and advertisements
Manage day-to-day outreach efforts to raise awareness, inform and engage critical stakeholders
In conjunction with the Director, monitor metrics for the measurement of outcomes and effectiveness of communications and strategies - through various means and measures of feedback.
Regional ICT Education and Awareness
Plan and execute outreach activities for NEOnet's ICT agenda, policymaker and stakeholder outreach, and coalition building to support NEOnet's ICT agenda.
Support development of partnership/relationship strategies and plan and identify partners relevant to program goals.
Conduct outreach visits with stakeholders to publicize ICT applications and plan ICT awareness activities in the region (Small Business Week, town hall meetings, open-house information sessions, meetings, etc.)
Builds awareness of current ICT events and issues that are likely to affect user needs and stakeholder engagement.
Analyze, monitor and report trends in ICT and regulatory processes in Canada/Ontario.
Administrative and Other Duties
Develop project and program evaluation plans, set targets and measurements for success and conduct client follow-up as part of evaluation. This includes tracking partners as well as creating templates for tracking, finalizing agreements, etc.
Capture and maintain relevant metrics and KPIs in order to prepare, review and analyze project surveys for funder’s report
Assisting with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing paperwork, and maintaining records
Provide support to NEOnet staff with general administration and ICT support as required.
Experience in communications and/or marketing, business, public relations or related field
Knowledge of project management, telecommunications and digital applications would be considered an asset
Skills & Qualifications
Experience collaborating with a team and working with partners/stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to speak, read and write in French is required. Training can be provided.
Exceptional organizational, time management and planning skills
Demonstrated experience and understanding of web-based languages, tools and software (Office 365, Adobe CS, Canva, Constant Contact, HubSpot, Slack, etc,.)
Comfortable with public speaking, presentations and talking with clients
Valid G2-G class driver’s license
Full-time (35hrs/week) hourly rate: $20-23/hr
2 weeks paid vacation time, plus paid time off during Christmas and New Year’s.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. The office is located in downtown Timmins. The position reports to the Director of Operations (Interim). The position requires prolonged periods of time seated at a desk, using a computer. Travel throughout the region is required.
